I've seen mixed feelings on here about JDownloader 2, but I've had some success downloading images and videos (not actually sure if it'll also download stories) from Instagram using JDownloader 2.
Just download and install, then add the Instagram (or even Twitter) profile and let it scan for the links. It will then download all of them one by one in folder you specify, photos and videos.
Instagram's Data Download works remarkably well... sort of. HTML and JSON! But where's the JSON file for my photos?!
